Chicken and Rice Casserole
Ingredients

  • 2½ cups chicken broth (I used 2 cans)
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ¾ cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning mix (or ½ tsp. onion powder, ½ tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. salt, ½ tsp. pepper, ½ tsp. parsley)
  • subheading: (You can sub 2 cans of cream of chicken soup for the homemade sauce.):
  • subheading: For the casserole:
  • 1 ½ cups uncooked brown rice, rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons seasoning mix of your choice for the flavor of the casserole - my favorite was a smoked hickory southwestern seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
