  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 pinch nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pounds sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
