Pineapple soyaki marinade
Hawaiian-style teriyaki sauce influenced by adobo (the vinegar).
Ingredients
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice (I would just use these tiny kid-sized cans)
  • 2 to 3 TB white vinegar
  • 1 heaping TB Sesame seeds, toasted brown in a dry frying pan
  • 4 cloves minced/pressed garlic
  • 1 TB minced ginger
  • ½ cup onion, minced or 1 heaping tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp sesame oil, asian (should be golden brown)
  • Optional: I sometimes add red pepper flakes and/or black pepper to give it a little oompf.
Steps
  1. Mix
  2. Let sit for at least an hour before using.
  3. It doesn't last forever in the fridge but freezes okay.
