A delicious way to make use of lots of green beans, especially in the middle of the summer if you have a garden.

Note to Self: These are my changes --- 4 C cut beans, 8 oz cream cheese (Philadelphia only) and 8 oz grated cheddar.

The beauty of this recipe is that is can be made ahead and baked when you’re ready to eat it.
Ingredients
  • 3 cups fresh green beans (sliced into smaller pieces)
  • 2.5 cups button mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 onions (sliced)
  • 1 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup cheddar (grated)
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • to taste salt and ground black pepper
