Rigatoni with Sauce by Phyllis

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef (Leah doubled original)
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 stick sweet butter
  • 1 lg can Progresso tomatoes with basil
  • 1½ cup Paisano wine
  • 1½ cup milk
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • salt to taste
  • cooking oil (no measurement given)
  • Rigatoni (assume a 16 oz box)
Steps
  1. Pour small amount of cooking oil in bottom of heavy pan; heat until oil is hot
  2. Add onions and cook until "brownish"
  3. Add ground beef and brown
  4. Add wine and cook 5 minutes
  5. Add tomato paste and Progresso tomatoes; cook on low for 45 minutes - 1 hour
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Add butter and milk. Cook for 5 minutes, then let the sauce rest while you cook and drain the rigatoni
  8. Pour sauce over drained rigatoni
