A wonderful casserole for weekend company or brunches --- john sent me a picture of this recipe

Ingredients
- 6 slices white bread, crust removed
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 4 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 jalapeno
- 2 green chiles
Steps
- Lightly butter each slice of bread.
- Place bread in 9 by 13 inch buttered glass baking dish.
- Brown sausage with finely chopped onions and chopped jalapeno and green chiles. Sprinkle mixture over bread. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Beat eggs. Add salt, cumin, mustard, and half and half to eggs. mix well. Pour egg mixture over bread, sausage and cheese.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. (Then can be frozen until ready to use).
- Remove foil, bake for 45min at 350 until casserole is bubbly and lightly browned on top. This dish reheats easily.
