Eggnog Snickerdoodles with a Creamy Nutmeg Glaze
Ingredients
  • ½ c. unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. rum extract (or rum bakery emulsion)
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • ½ c. evaporated milk
  • 2 ¾ c. all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 Tbl. sugar + ½ tsp. ground nutmeg, for rolling
  • subheading: Nutmeg Glaze:
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbl. evaporated milk, plus more if needed
  • 1 to 2 tsp. vanilla extract, to taste
  • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg, or to taste
