Chinese Brown Sauce

Servings: Makes ¾ cup

Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup vegetable stock
  • ¼ cup date molasses or brown rice syrup
  • 2 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder
Steps
  1. 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan and cook over medium heat until thickened, about five minutes.
Notes
  • Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to one week.
