Turkey Stuffing with Craisins
Slow Cooker Stuffing
Ingredients
  • 2 12oz Boxes Mrs. Cubbisons Traditional Stuffing Mix
  • 1.5 cups Butter
  • 2 Tbls Butter
  • 2 Tbls Butter or Ghee to grease slow cooker
  • 2c Diced Celery
  • 1c Diced Sweet Onion
  • 8oz Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 to 2 cans of Water Chestnuts
  • 1 cup Craisins Lower Sugar
  • 2.5 cups Chicken Stock
  • 4 Eggs, beaten
Steps
  1. Grease slow cooker with butter or Ghee.
  2. Melt 1.5c butter and set aside.
  3. In pan on stove melt 2 Tbls butter. Add celery, onion & mushrooms. Saute until onions are translucent.
  4. In the slow cooker, whisk celery, onions, mushrooms, Water Chestnuts, Craisins, chicken broth or water and eggs. Then gradually whisk in melted butter.
  5. Add stuffing mix and toss until little liquid is left on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  6. Place lid and turn onto HIGH setting. Cook on high for 1 hour 25 minutes.
  7. Turn off. Carefully remove the lid, toss the stuffing and cover again. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.
