Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp dried shrimps, soaked in warm water for 30 mins
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Half onion or 3 red shallots, finely sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 1 lup cheong sausage, steamed then sliced
  • 3 spring onions, both whites and greens, chopped
  • 3 cups day-old cooked rice
  • half tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp kecap manis
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tsp sambal oelek, more to serve
