Spicy Tuna Sushi Dumplings!
Ingredients
  • subheading: sauce:
  • ½ c. mayo
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • Furikake, optional
  • subheading: dumplings:
  • 1 (5 oz) can tuna, drained
  • 2 ½ tbsp mayo
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 4 (8”) rice paper
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into 8 (2”x 3”) pieces
  • ½ c. steamed white (or brown) rice
  • 2 tsp furikake
  • 4 thin slices avocado
  • ½ c. toasted sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
Steps
  1. 1. sauce: Add all ing into a bowl and whisk together. Top with furikake.
  2. 2. In another bowl add tuna, mayo, sriracha. Season with salt and pepper and mix.
  3. 3. Dip rice paper in warm water for 15 sec. Move onto a clean surface.
  4. 4. Place a sheet of nori on the bottom third of each rice paper. Top each sheet of nori with 2 tbsp rice, and sprinkle with ½ tsp furikake.
  5. 5. Top rice with 2 ½ tbsp tuna mix, followed by a slice of avocado.
  6. 6. Place another sheet nori over avocado.
  7. 7. Fold sides of the rice paper into center, then beginning from bottom, roll sushi dumpling until sealed.
  8. 8. Dip each side of dumpling in sesame seeds.
  9. 9. Place a nonstick pan over med heat. Add oil.
  10. 10. Add dumplings into pan and fry for 2 minutes on each side.
  11. 11. Remove from heat and serve with dipping sauce.
