Ingredients
  • ½ lb bacon cut into pieces
  • 1 lb dry pinto beans (rinsed and sorted)
  • 9 cups water (may substitute a bottle of beer for some of the water - shiner bock if you have it) but need 9 cups of liquid
  • 1 medium onion diced finely
  • 2 to 3 jalapeño seeded and diced
  • 2 bunches of cilantro (remove stems) and chop
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes
