  • 2 Italian sausages, remove casing
  • ⅛ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 4 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 3.5 oz. shredded low moisture part skim mozzarella cheese
  • subheading: Sauce:
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomato
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano leaves
  • ¼ tsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ½ cup half and half
