Gluten-Free Apple Pie (Just Like Grandma Made!)
Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free 1:1 baking flour 340 grams
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 4 pounds apples about 6 to 7 large apples, see the note below recommended apple types
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk of choice
