Instant Pot Beef Stew
Ingredients
  • 1 lb stew beef
  • 2 TB vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs potatoes diced 1.5 inches
  • 1 onion chopped
  • ½ lb carrots chopped
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 packet Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix
  • 2 cups water or beef broth
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 TB Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp cayenne hot sauce
  • 1 TB corn starch
  • ¼ cup water
Steps
  1. Set IP to normal sauté and add oil
  2. Brown beef when oil is hot.
  3. Deglaze with water or broth, add rest of ingredients except corn starch and remaining water, and stir.
  4. Seal IP and set for stew or high pressure for 35 minutes.
  5. Natural pressure release for 10 minutes and then quick release.
  6. Combine corn starch with the ¼ cup water and stir into stew slowly to thicken.
  7. Adjust additional seasoning to taste.
  8. Enjoy!
