Classic Tourtiere for Eight
450 for 20 min and 350 for 30
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup cubed peeled potato
  • 2 lbs lean ground pork
  • 2 cups mushrooms
  • ¾ cups finely chopped celery
  • ¾ cups chicken stock
  • 2 onions , finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • ¾ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon each pepper, dried savory and thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon each ground cloves amd cinnamon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Really Flaky Pastry (see recipe under method)
  • 1 egg yolk
