Homemade Creole Seasoning
“Creole seasoning is the backbone of Cajun and Creole cuisine. It's an incredible blend of herbs and spices, for anything you put on it.“ added 1-4-2024

SK: I scaled to .25 recipe. I used less than 1-1/2 TB Hungarian paprika (no cayenne per author notes), ingredients. Ended up doubling all ingrdients except paprika and pepper as it will still too much heat for me. Otherwise, really good! NEXT time, start with two TEASPOONS max Hungarian paprika and add more if needed.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup paprika
  • 3 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons granulated onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons granulated garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dry thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dry oregano
