  • ¼ cup all purpose flour

  • 1 cup high-heat cooking oil, such as canola, peanut, sunflower, or vegetable oil
  • subheading: For the seasoned flour:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons old-bay seasoning or cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
