Homemade Sicilian Cannoli (Shells and Filling)

  • ¼ cup marsala (60ml)
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • Sunflower oil for frying

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • zest of 1 lemon or orange (optional)
  • Candied orange nuts or chocolate chips

  • Candy thermometer
  • Kitchen paper, for draining
