  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ tablespoon minced fresh ginger or ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil and more for greasing the sheet pan
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
  • 1 pound asparagus tough ends trimmed, spears cut in half
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds optional garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves optional garnish
