°1 large egg yolk

°¾ t. (175 mL) sugar

°2 ½ t. (625 mL) milk

°2 ½ t. (625 mL) whipping cream (heavy)

°1 C. ½ tsp (5 mL) vanilla

°1 C. ½ tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon

°12 oz (340 g) crusty bread, cut into ½-inch (1 cm) slices, then cut into 1 ½-inch (4 cm) pieces [10 c. (2.5L)]

°½ t.2 tbsp. sugar

°½ tsp. ½ tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon

°2 tbsp. (25 mL) butter or margarine, melted

Whiskey sauce

°½ t. butter

°2 tbsp. (30 mL) water

°1 large egg

°1 t. (250 mL) sugar

°2 tbsp. (25 mL) whiskey or 1 tbsp. ½ tsp (5 mL) brandy extract
