Ingredients

  • Sear beef and remove from pan. Sautee onion, carrots and celery then add garlic. Add 1tbsp tomato paste and then deglaze with 1 cup red wine. Add 400ml tomato passata and 1L beef stock and a tbsp brown sugar and 2 bay leaves. Add the beef back in and slow cook for 8 hrs. Break up meat, add back to sauce and simmer for 30 mins.
  • I cook by eye so all amounts are approximate sorry.
