Beer Bread (Tastefully Simple Copycat)
Excellent simple beer bread. Unfortunately, I only have the recipe as a printout and can't find the original to give credit.

Servings: 1 Loaf

Servings: 1 Loaf
Ingredients
  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1½ tsp Salt
  • ⅓ cup Sugar
  • 1 bottle Beer (use something you'd drink)
  • ½ stick Butter, melted (optional)
Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. Gently pour in beer, then mix just until there are no dry ingredients (don’t over mix). Pour into a greased 9" x 5" loaf pan.
  3. Bake for 50 minutes, then remove, coat entire top with half a stick of melted butter, then pop back into the oven for 10 to 15 more minutes. Alternately, bake 50 to 60 minutes, until pleasantly browned on top and a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.
  4. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes on a cooling rack. Remove loaf from pan and let cool completely before slicing.
Notes
  • You can substitute 3 cups of self-rising flour for the AP flour, baking powder, and salt.
