Beer Bread (Tastefully Simple Copycat)
loading...
Excellent simple beer bread. Unfortunately, I only have the recipe as a printout and can't find the original to give credit.
Servings: 1 Loaf
Servings: 1 Loaf
Ingredients
- 3 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1½ tsp Salt
- ⅓ cup Sugar
- 1 bottle Beer (use something you'd drink)
- ½ stick Butter, melted (optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. Gently pour in beer, then mix just until there are no dry ingredients (don’t over mix). Pour into a greased 9" x 5" loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 minutes, then remove, coat entire top with half a stick of melted butter, then pop back into the oven for 10 to 15 more minutes. Alternately, bake 50 to 60 minutes, until pleasantly browned on top and a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes on a cooling rack. Remove loaf from pan and let cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- You can substitute 3 cups of self-rising flour for the AP flour, baking powder, and salt.
