  • 2 teaspoons grated  orange zest plus 2 ½ tablespoons fresh orange juice (from 1 large orange)
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup cake flour (about 2 ⅛ ounces), plus more for dusting pan
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, divided

  • 2 ½ tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, plus more for dusting
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons fresh orange juice (about 1 large orange) or dark rum
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting cake
