Jacques Pepin's Baked Pumpkin & Gruyere Gratin
Ingredients
  • 1 (15-oz.) can pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs)
  • 2 oz. Gruyere cheese, finely shredded (about ¾ cup)
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted, plus more for greasing baking dish
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh sage
