  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour or alternative flour
  • ½ cup ground flax seed
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice or mix of 2 tsp cinnamon and ½ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts chopped fine
