I used a pink Cinderella pumpkin. It is very sweet, not too grainy, and a very bright orange. I only gave it four stars because there was no mention of using any other type of pumpkin. Not everyone has access to her type of pumpkins. Also, she doesn't really discuss the difference in a pumpkin pie with fresh puree and canned. My pumpkin was almost like sweet potato pie. It was still really easy.

  • 5 to 8 lbs sugar pie pumpkin (about one medium or two small pumpkins)
