This was a recipe I invented when my kids were little. We didn't have much food in the house, so I had to make something with what was on hand. It turned out to be a family favorite and is requested even 40 years later.

Servings: 6

Servings: 6

  • 1 lb. hot dogs, sliced as coins
  • ⅓ cup green pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tbl. butter
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 2 tbl. brown sugar
  • 1 tbl. worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tbl. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • Dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
Steps
  1. In a large skillet, sauté hot dogs, green pepper, and onion in butter until tender.
  2. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir the mixture into the skillet with the hot dogs.
