Classic Chocolate Sauce for Chocolate Bread
Ingredients
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup milk (more or less) evaporated milk or regular milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 slices or more of sliced bread
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • In a small saucepan, blend the sugar and cocoa powder. Add the milk and butter, stir (whisk) over medium heat until the mixture starts to turn creamy. Dip and coat the slices of bread on both side. Serve Warm.
  • Additional milk may be added for a thinner sauce if preferred.
