Chocolate Pound Cake
Ingredients
  • 3 sticks of butter
  • 2C granulated sugar
  • 1C brown sugar
  • You will cream these together.
  • 6 eggs I had large eggs.
  • 2C APF
  • 1C of Dutch processed unsweetened Cocoa Powder & black cocoa powder. I used more of the Cocoa powder BUT it’s your choice. Just make sure the total is equivalent to 1 cup.
  • 1C heavy whipping cream & topped my 1 cup measuring cup off with buttermilk. I’ll guess ¼ cup.
  • 2tbsp Vanilla Extract. Use more or less that’s sticky up to you.
  • Frosting
  • Vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar Use less if you don’t want too sweet. I normally use 1C
  • To thin it, if you want too, 2 tbsp buttermilk or heavy whipping cream. I just grabbed the 1st thing my hands touched. Let me also say, you add as much or less liquid as you need to get Your desired consistency.
  • 325 pre heated oven 80 minutes
