  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chopped green cabbage
  • 1 carrot, peeled and shredded
  • 1½ ounces dried mung bean glass noodles
  • 12 (8-inch) square egg roll wrappers
  • 2 quarts peanut or vegetable oil for frying
