Instant Pot Beefaroni
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb / 450 to 500 g ground beef (lean, 85/10 or 90/10 fat to meat ratio is ideal)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, diced or minced
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons Italian herbs or dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lb / 16 oz ( 450 g) dry elbow macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups tomato sauce (we used tomato basil sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1.5 oz butter (salted or unsalted, about 45 g), cubed
  • 2 cups grated cheese (Cheddar, Jack, Parmesan or mixed)
  • Scallions for garnish
