Sam the Cooking Guy's Penne Bolognase
Ingredients
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 whole onion
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 cup milk
  • 15 oz can of tomatoes
  • 3 TBSP tomato paste
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • ~2 TBSP olive oil
  • ~2 TBSP garlic
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 TBSP balsamic vinegar
  • 1 lb (dry) penne
  • Pinch of Parmesan
  • Pinch of parsley
Steps
  1. Chop and mince carrots, celery, and onion. Add to hot dutch oven and cook down.
  2. Add olive oil and garlic to heat for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add beef to mixture and brown.
  4. Add white wine (feel free to OOPS) and cook down.
  5. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, red pepper flakes, vinegar. Let simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  6. After 1 hour, add milk. Mix and light simmer for another 45 minutes.
  7. Add cooked pasta, mix, parm and parsley it up, and serve.
