Harry Potter's Butterbeer
  • 1 black beer type Ale 33 cl. (I have also tried it with lagers and we liked it very much) (sub with non alcoholic porter, stout or ale)
  • 35 g dark muscovado sugar (sub with this mix: 1 cup white sugar + 1 to 2 tbsp molassess to taste -- reduce amount since you will be adding butterscotch as well)
  • 45 g unsalted butter at room temperature (sun with vegan cultured butter)
  • 2 egg large yolks (sub with whipping cream ? can use aquafaba for foam)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon of Butterscotch extract (sub with homemade butterscotch sauce) (optional, but recommended)
