Original Mississippi Pot Roast Recipe (Slow Cooker)
Robin Chapman is the creator of the original Mississippi Pot Roast Recipe. She adapted a roast beef recipe that was too spicy for her young kids, and this was the moment the ever so famous Mississippi Roast was born.
Ingredients

  • 1 (3 to 4 pounds) roast, your choice of cut
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (1 ounce) package McCormick au jus gravy mix (dry)
  • 1 (1 ounce) package Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (dry)
  • Pepperoncini peppers, number to your liking and a little juice
Steps
  1. Instructions: Put roast in slow cooker. Place butter, pepperoncini peppers, ranch dressing mix, and au jus mix on top of the roast. Cook on Low for 8 hours.
  2. The ingredients & simple instructions might be a shocker, but her family & friends loved this roast, and they couldn’t stop raving about it.
