Golden Syrup Dumplings
Golden syrup, also known as light treacle, is a thick, amber-colored form of inverted sugar syrup12345. It is made by refining sugar cane or sugar beet juice into sugar. Golden syrup is used in baking recipes and desserts, and has a similar appearance and consistency to honey. It is often used as a substitute for honey when the latter is unavailable.
