Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) (room temperature - do not microwave)
  • subheading: For the glaze:
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar (dark or light brown sugar, I used light)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
