Two-Veggies: IP Teriyaki Green Beans for Two

Servings: 2 to 3

Servings: 2-3
Ingredients
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ pound fresh green beans
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil (if you don't have this, olive oil works fine)
  • ¼ cup your favorite teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid aminos - if you don't have this add another tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon onion flakes (optional)
Steps
  1. Trim green beans, if necessary, and rinse.
  2. Place beans in IP steamer basket. Add water to bottom of pot, lid, seal, set pot to Manual 1 minute.
  3. When done QR pressure then rinse beans under cold water to stop cooking process.
  4. Heat oil in frying pan. When hot add green beans and saute, stirring every few minutes, until well heated trough and much of the moisture has been evaporated, about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining ingredients. Continue sauteing beans until sauce is reduced by about half, another 5 minutes or so.
  6. Put beans in serving dish and pour on any remaining sauce.
  7. That's it!
