Chocolate Layer Cake with Baileys Condensed Milk Frosting
Ingredients
  • Chocolate Sponge Cake - for three 6-inch layers
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g soft brown or white sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla or coffee extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 160 g flour
  • 90 g cocoa powder (100%)
  • 10 g baking powder
  • a little cream or milk if mixture is too stiff
  • Chocolate chips for filling and decor (approx. 200 g)
  • Four-leaf clover chocolates for decor (optional)

  • Baileys Condensed Milk Buttercream: 6 cups (enough for frosting a 6-inch layer cake), filling and swirls
  • 750 g butter - cold but soft to the touch
  • 600 g sweetened condensed milk - cold
  • 6 tablespoons Baileys
