Ingredients
- 5 pounds chicken thighs..bone in , skin on
- 1 cup Shoyu (soy sauce)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 2 to 3 tsp minced garlic
- 4 to 5 slivers of ginger
- 3 to 4 tsp of Cooking Mirin
Steps
- Mix all ingredients, except the chicken, in your IP
- Place the chicken in mixture
- Manual setting on high for 15 minutes with a 10 minute NPR
- Place chicken on a foil lined baking pan and broil until the skin is caramelized
- Serve over hot pot in pot rice *
- You could thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry (3 Tablespoons Cornstarch + 3 Tablespoons cold water )
