  • Chez Panisse’s Blueberry Cobbler. This is (another) one of my favorite summer desserts. If you made crème fraîche from my earlier post, it would be a perfect accompaniment here. I often sprinkle demerara sugar on top of the biscuit layer before baking, just for some extra sweetness and crunch. I leave that up to you. Serves 6.

  • ⅓ c granulated sugar
  • 4½ c fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 T all-purpose flour

  • ½ t kosher salt
  • 2¼ t baking powder
  • 1½ T granulated sugar
  • 6 T cold unsalted butter
  • ¾ c heavy cream

  • Whipped cream for serving
