The Apple Butter is thick and silky smooth, not too sweet and has just a nice hint of pumpkin pie spices. I used my Instant Pot to cook the apples and the entire recipe process was quick and easy. I didn’t even peel the apples. Success, and on the first batch.
Ingredients
  • 4 (approx 2-½ lb) assorted cooking apples (such as Granny Smith and Pink Lady)
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ packed light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • pinch (⅛ tsp) ground cloves
  • pinch (⅛ tsp) salt
