[Homemade] Carne Asada Tacos On Fresh Tortillas with Rice, Beans, Street Corn and Salsa
Ingredients
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ white onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 jalapeños, seeds and membranes removed, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water (as needed for desired consistency)
Steps
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a blender.
  2. Add the roughly chopped white onion, garlic cloves, chopped cilantro, jalapeños, and lime juice to the blender.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Blend the ingredients until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition until you reach your desired consistency. Add more water if needed.
  5. Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning if necessary by adding more salt, pepper, or lime juice.
  6. Transfer the avocado salsa to a bowl and let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
