homemade gummies

Servings: 2 cups

Servings: 2 cups
Ingredients
  • 12 Oz- 2 cups liquid (cold pressed juice, fresh squeezed, or hydrate)
  • ½ cup plus ⅛ of a cup beef unflavored geletin (I use great lakes brand)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 drops organic liquid stevia or 2 tablespoons of honey, maple syrup or coconut nectar. Omit if using Hydrate.
  • OPTIONAL: 1 to 2 drops young living vitality essential oil(orange, lemon, lime) for extra flavor
Steps
  1. Off the heat, Combine a ⅓ of the liquid and all ingredient in a saucepan (minus the essential oil)
  2. Wisk until well blended.
  3. Heat over med/low heat until fully melted. Careful not to let the mixture start to bubble.
  4. Let cool a bit. Add the rest of the liquid gradually while slowly mixing. Add the essential oils (optional)
  5. Pour into a 9x13 glass pyrex dish and place in fridge to set.
  6. Or silicone gummy molds.
  7. If you do not have a perfectly flat space in the fridge, set the dish on the counter to cool and set up. Then transfer to the fridge to fully set and then you will have even gummies. I line gummy molds on a cookie sheet then transfer to the fridge after they set a bit on the counter.
  8. After 2 hours or so (You can speed this up by freezing it for 10 min) pull out pan and peel the entire sheet of gummies and place on a cutting board.
  9. Using a pizza cutter slice into strips.
  10. Then cut strips into small squares.
  11. Or you can take a sharp knife and cut it in the baking dish.
  12. Refeigerate for up to a week or freeze for a few months.
