Country-Style Braised Pork Shank
Ingredients
  • 4 pork shanks about 5 pounds
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour seasoned with sea salt and black pepper to dredge the pork shanks
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 16 ounces mushrooms
  • 2 cups baby potatoes or regular potatoes cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1½ cups beef stock
  • 1⅓ cups chicken stock
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 6 cloves garlic chopped
  • 4 sprigs rosemary fresh
  • 4 sprigs thyme fresh
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper or ½ teaspoon of regular black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
