  • ½ cup frozen peas, thawed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • subheading: For the Garlic Mashed potatoes:
  • 1 ½ pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 to 2 inch chunks
  • ½ cup unflavored non-dairy milk, plus more as needed
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter (olive oil works too)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
