Speculoos almond butter

  • - 200 g almonds
  • - ½ tsp date caramel (~ 5 g)

  • Speculoos Spice Mix
  • - 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • - ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • - ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • - ⅛ tsp ground aniseed
  • - ⅛ tsp ground ginger
  • - ⅛ tsp ground coriander seed
  • Instructions
  • Roast the almonds in the oven for ~ 15 minutes at 160°C/320°F. Pay close attention so they don’t burn. Remove and let cool slightly.
  • Transfer the almonds to a blender or food processor and blend for ~ 4 minutes until you have a smooth and runny almond butter. You may need to scrape down the sides once in a while.
  • Add  the date caramel and spices and then blend for another ~ 2 minutes. Transfer the nut butter to a jar and store in a cool, dry place.
