Ingredients
  • 6 bell peppers, I use a mix red, green, orange and yellow
  • 2 lbs of lean ground beef
  • 2 cups of cooked white rice, day old rice is best
  • 1 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cans of tomato soup
  • 28 ounces of water, use the tomato can to measure the water
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt or celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of white pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of dried parsley (mostly for color)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • ½ teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or oil for sautéing
