My Pressure Cooked French White Asparagus

Ingredients
  • 6 spears thick French White Asparagus
Steps
  1. Cut off the lower 8cm (3 inches).
  2. Strip the outer skin of the stems below the head stem bottom using potato peeler from.
  3. Rince and place in pressure cooker adding water to just to cover the asparagus. You can (optionally) add the juice of ½ if desired.
  4. Secure for pressure cooking, bringing to max pressure for 3 minutes. Turning off and letting natural release. Test with a knife point to make sure asparagus is cooked through.
  5. Remove the asparagus from the water and let cool and dry for 5 minutes. Pour off any excess water
  6. Prepare the asparagus for your preferred serving style.
  7. Enjoy.
