Simple Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
  • 2 - 28 oz can diced Tomatoes
  •  
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
  •  
  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped
  •  
  • 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
  •  
  • 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  •  
  • 3 or 4 fresh basil leaves
Steps
  1. Over medium heat, heat Olive Oil and chopped onion. Allow to cook for 5 minutes then add garlic and Italian seasoning mx and cook for 1 or 2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add tomatoes and basil leaves, cook until softened, breaking up pieces with back of spoon or potato masher as you stir. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. The sauce can be left chunky or you can blend it with a hand blender or in food processor. Serve with your favorite pasta topped off with slivered parmesan.
